Refund Policy

At Pawsitive Trailways, LLC, we realize that unexpected events occur, and your animal’s trip might require adjustments or a full cancellation. Since we prioritize flexibility, changing your plans is always stress-free.

There is only one up-front fee that must be paid before your pet or rescue can travel with us. Due to the exorbitant increase to gas prices, Pawsitive Trailways, LLC no longer covers the empty miles from starting location to pick up location. 

For example, if Pawsitive Trailways has multiple bookings on any particular trip the pre-pick-up fees will be assessed as follows:

Client 1:

Point A: (Usually out of Lubbock) to Dallas Animal Shelter (DAS) the pre-pick-up fee will be calculated at .30 cents per mile. The trip from Lubbock takes approximately 4 hours 45 minutes with a total mileage of 294 miles. The total amount that will need to be paid up-front prior to pick up would be: $88.20.

This charge is non-refundable, if the trip is not cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Client 2:

Point A: Dallas Animal Shelter (DAS) to Austin, TX the pre-pick-up fee will be calculated at .30 cents per mile. This leg of the trip takes approximately 2 hours

59 minutes with a total approximate mileage of 198 miles. The total amount that will need to be paid up front prior to pick up would be: $59.40. This charge is non-refundable, if the trip is not cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of time.

The only time the pre-pick-up fee will be fully refundable is when Pawsitive Trailways, LLC has to cancel the trip for any reason.

 Pawsitive Trailways, LLC does NOT collect 

any transport payments upfront or demand any payments from our clients ever to be paid in-full prior to picking up your animal. By doing this, our clients are protected from ever being scammed and losing hundreds to sometimes thousands of dollars by booking with the wrong animal transport business. We have heard the nightmares from our clients about their experiences booking with the wrong business, as well as the pawsitive experiences they have had with other animal transport businesses who are coming to us as an alternative due to availability! Pawsitive Trailways, LLC strives to ensure that the stress in transporting your beloved pet is minimized and that the well-being of all of our pet passengers exceed our clients' expectations. Therefore, no other refunds will be needed to be made as booking with us at Pawsitive Trailways, LLC there is a no-obligation upfront payment policy!

If for any reason Pawsitive Trailways, LLC is unable to complete the trip after pick up due to any vehicle issues, a refund will be issued equaling to, but not more than 50% of the total cost of the transport. Refunds will be calculated at the .30 per mile rate times the remaining miles left in the trip to not exceed more than 50% of the total transport cost.
